On a more serious note then the previous song, this is one of 6 stand out tracks on the 6 song album Waiting In Seville (see what I did there). Seville is a band fom south florida that put out a couple albums on FIddler Records, the same label that helped launch New Found Glory and released albums from The Bled and Recover.
Seville also shared members with Dashboard Confessional, which is how I heard about them. After a show in vegas the drummer announced that their other bands cd was on sale, and I picked one up after the show. I think I listened to once and put it away, and then picked it up a month or so later and fell in love with it.
Yes I know that this is a bit of a goofy song, but it's so well written.
Happy Peanuts Fall,
Over Chocolate Covered Mountaintops,
And Waterfalls of Caramel.
Prancing Nouget In The Valley
Sings A Song Of Satisfaction To The World.
Snickers + Folk Music = Fantasticness.
The definitive Weakerthans song. I'll never forget seeing these guys play in a coffee shop in Las Vegas, opening for Dashboard Confessional (when he still played acoustic and small venues). I'm very tempted to say that this is the most perfect song ever written, but I'm sure someone would prove me wrong. If it sounds familier, it's probably because it was used at the end of Wedding Crashers.
Three years ago I was a freshman in college. There was this killer Christian music store the next town over and they had a poster up for a Denison Marrs show. I had heard really great things about them, so I picked up their album This Is The New Now and came back the next week for the show. It was amazing, easily one of best shows I've been to.
